Passive attitude of Hindus….Solutions

No other conclusion is possible

We believe that every Hindu is eager to know how Hindus can change their passive attitude.It is extremely important  as even our genuine problems and demands are ignored by ruling parties because we are yet to find out how to assert ourselves.

However one thing that we had ignored during our previous post, is being produced here, as the public wanted to know how the religion was diluted during 1000 years of invaders rule. This post is in continuation to our earlier two posts: Are we doing enough as Hindu , HOW to resolve the passive attitude of Hindus

Here we are listing some detail of how the physical performing part of the religion was reduced during those 1000 years of invaders rule:

1. Since young unmarried girls were forcibly taken away, child marriage became the order of the day.

2. People became so terrified of after affects of girl child that they preferred to kill the girl as soon as she was born.

3. Performance of early marriage of girl became most important, for which dowry was asked for and given…those who could not afford dowry even went for older groom and/or much older groom.

4. Older groom and much older groom caused in most cases widowhood to these young girls. These young girls were susceptible to various exploitation…To curb this SATI was enforced forcefully.

5. Oppression of the severest kind was used for conversion. In such case to SUSTAIN the Hindu society, Karma was given a temporary burial, since resistance was futile.

6. Since invaders also wanted to rule and collect taxes, caste system was further given a boost as it automatically organized Hindus in various groups, which helped in collecting taxes.

7. With the burial of Karma, pooja and rituals, or Bhakti as it was called was declared sufficient to perform religion.

8. Even fasting, an all important part of any pooja or ritual, was diluted significantly, so that people can have the satisfaction of successfully performed the religious obligation. People were told not to consume grains, cereals and salt, but they were allowed to consume milk, milk products, other eatables and fruits. People were thus allowed to enjoy their special meals of rich products and were still declared as on fast.

9. To keep the hope that oppression will end and ever thing will be alright, the potency of God was also increased.

Continuing with our discussion about upbringing of child, one will be failing in his duties if the issue of female foeticide is not brought up. How can a Dharmic society, which spends lot of money on religion, can ever have a single such case? Unfortunately the quantity of cases are so immense that male/female ratio in several states has become critical. And this after the government has enacted most stringent laws.

Do we understand the implication of this? In case, after enactment of stringent laws, cases of female foeticide are increasing, the obvious conclusion is that certain fraudulent religious leaders or Gurus have blessed this…no other conclusion is possible.

The SRC has to ensure and clearly state that anyone involved in female foeticide is an Adharmi, and tell the society what God will do with such Paapis.[Please note that abbreviation SRC will be used to represent Centralized SAPT RISHI COMMITTEE]

Similarly for all the other earlier reduction in physical performing part of the religion, suitable Dharmic orders are to be issued and enforced. It may be mentioned here that the above list is not complete. Lot more is to be added to it. People from every region has to help in preparing an exhaustive list.

Positive performance of Dharm improves the condition of every one in the society and starts from SELF. As such your stake is ABSOLUTE.

Formation of a centralized committee(SAPT RISHI COMMITTEE or SRC) to look after the affairs of Hindu Religion is a must. In this information age, and with abundant wealth, it is indeed shameful that we are the only society which do not tell its believers why a specific festival is celebrated on a specific tithi, and whether the date has been finalized in transparent manner.

One thing is important. Responsibility. Either the gurus and religious leaders declare that Sanatan Dharm cannot improve the condition of Hindu Samaj, or SRC must take complete responsibility of POSITIVE PERFORMANCE.

Almost everyone wants to know how Hindus can change their passive attitude.After all there is no use in diagnosing problem, and then not providing a solution.

The first step towards solution is that we must have a respectful centralized religious body(SRC) to take decisions. Right now there is none. But there is no need to be alarmed. The important thing is that we do not have to create any infrastructure. It already exists.

Now the solution. Please note we are not the only one who has faced the problem due to invasion on culture. Others too, have felt the need, for, so called Cultural Revolution, like China. In China the Government decided about the revolution, here the centralized Religious Body would decide the steps.

One thing everyone must understand very clearly, the solution is simple but it has to be followed by majority of Hindus, to feel the change in attitude. As I said earlier, the change in attitude is statistically measurable behavior. And that is precisely why a Centralized Religious Body of Hindus  is required, and it has to have a good numbers of Social experts and experts in other fields. 

Please note that abbreviation SRC will be used to represent SAPT RISHI COMMITTEE 

Every adult individual has to bring in Honesty in Thought and Action inside his home, and obviously in all his acts. He has to tell SRC that for at least for next 10 years only Ramayan and Mahabharat should be the basis of formulating Dharm for Hindus. The reason for this is to take advantage of repeated telecast of these serials in every Indian language. As such people know the history associated with Ramayan and Mahabharat, SRC has to tell the Dharm.

How Dharmic rituals are being misused, and made enjoyable, fun with no performance associated with this, is known to everyone.Let me explain; I shall be talking only about North India, because I was born and brought up over there. Similarly peoples from other regions, have to provide information from their regions.

During FASTING, people of North India CONSUME lot of fruits, milk, and rich milk products like sweets. The only thing they are not consuming is cereals, grains and salt. As said earlier, the reason behind this is that during invaders rule, the emotional content of religion was increased, substituting the physical content. But now this is DISHONESTY, and ZERO performance of Dharmic Rituals.

FAST CANNOT MEAN EATING RICH SPECIAL FOOD. This is cheating, and may I ask you, whom are you cheating? This attitude needs to be changed.

KAVACHAUT, a fasting festival for ladies is celebrated in almost all houses of North India. It is now, even, glamorized by all TV channels. Now my question is to young males whose wives are celebrating this..Q can you say in front of your family members and friends, this statement of FACT.. I need the blessings of my wife for my long life and protection of my life, and that is why my wife celebrates this……. I am sure not a single educated male, who is independent will be able to say this, yet all of them are celebrating this..TOTALLY DISHONEST ATTITUDE …one can say.

One can go on and on…however I do want to mention some more, though briefly:

We all talk of corruption, which exists everywhere, but we prefer to sit in our drawing rooms and carry this discussion, also expressing our helplessness for what is happening. We forget that we have a democracy, and we can sort out, at least, most of the corruption related problems in ones’ vicinity, in case the entire society, Mohalla or sub sector walks out on street. But this will only be possible incase the religion says that ‘you will go to hell in case you all do no unite to fight this corruption’.

Right now our religion is promoting Wealth and Pleasure for Gurus and Matth Owners….and for that they need to further increase the PASSIVE attitude of Hindus…. And they are succeeding.

When a child is born in our family, we have to understand that God has accepted our request for an AGENCY to bring in new members in our society. A child is born in our family because of the kindness of God, and not for what we are and we can do. Yet from day 1, we start feeling that he has to represent us and we load him with books, tuition and what not, even snatching his childhood. Is it not CHEATING GOD?

The resolution of Passive attitude will require lot more than what has been said above. We shall be continuing discussion in subsequent posts.

As far as Hindus are concerned, the Physical performing part of the religion was substantially reduced during the last 1000 years, and this is a historical fact. Nothing has been done after independence to change this. This is causing lot of problems in attitude of average Hindu.

Until and unless we address this problem, we are not getting anywhere.

ALARMED? Not yet.

Then this is the time to forget everything and ponder on what is being said.
The above conclusions are based on physical statistically measurable parameters. These parameters, as such cannot be challenged.

The following are the physical statistically measurable parameters:

1. Female foeticide,2. Lack of education for girls,3. Dowry deaths,4. Suicides among farmers,5. Increase in court cases among relatives, corruption,6. Mistrust and discontent,.7. And all this, despite the fact, that spending on religion, by Hindus, has increased drastically after the advent of multiple TV channels.

There is serious problem of attitude of every individual which need to be corrected. One has to accept that Hindus, though, highly religious, are not getting desired result as a society.

What exactly is AILING the HINDU SOCIETY? Attitude of a Hindu individual, i.e. mine and (I am afraid) yours. HOW?

My humble request to all the readers is to please ponder on the main issue which is IMPORTANT: THE PHYSICAL PERFORMING PART OF THE RELIGION…this (IT’S REDUCTION) is causing passive attitude of Hindus.

During PRE-INDEPENDENCE period stretching over 1000 years, the problems were extremely difficult, and these required extraordinary solution. Our religious leaders and saints did provide the solution which worked well in those circumstances. PHYSICAL performing part of Hindu religion was deliberately diluted by the religious leaders (saints) themselves to make it more sustainable.

We all know the history of that period. Young unmarried girls were forcefully, but officially, taken away in the HAREM of rich Muslims. Temples were being razed, and pressure on forceful conversion was severe and intense. This resulted in child marriages, increase in Sati practice and deliberate killing of infant girl child. The religious leaders of that time had done a wonderful job. The physical performing part of Hindu Dharm, as we can visualize, was reduced.

Lord Krishna, the supreme God, and hero of Mahabharat war, was portrayed, during this period, as naughty, MAKHAN CHOR, teasing his mother, and running around trees with Gopis.

Goswami Tulsidas, a SIDDH PURUSH, wrote RAMCHARITMANAS, in local Hindi dialect, to make it more popular. He departed from historical text of Maharishi Valmiki and concentrated on how Shri Ram killed all Rakshas, informing the masses that divine help was not far away, and it would destroy all rakshas, ruling then. He advocated Bhakti in the entire book and did not speak of KARMA, as propagated by Lord Krishna. No he was handicapped; he was not in a position to support Karma at that time and condition. Sustainability of religion was more important, and he succeeded.

Even the potency (Power) of Hindu Gods was increased; to somehow cajole the faithful that Divine help was just round the corner. While the fact is that Hindu religion is the only religion in the world which believes that our God does not interfere in the matter of human beings, though he is Almighty. If HE feels certain corrections are required to contain Adharm, HE comes on this earth as Avatar.

Since, now we are a free nation, with democracy, our religious leaders, were required to initiate change in this attitude, which has not happened. But what has happened after independence, that the condition has become more alarming?

We know that from time immemorial religion has always been a seat of POWER. After independence this has become a symbol of POWER, WEALTH and POLITICAL Power. What is being said can easily be verified by everyone…..Hindus as a society is doomed….the black warrant has been signed by our religious leaders.
