MEANING OF WORDS: SANATAN DHARM, DHARMIC, SPIRITUAL, GURU, SAADHU

The non bookish meaning of Sanatan Dharm is growth of entire Hindu Society on equal opportunity basis. Also the growth of entire humanity in harmony with nature, and other living beings.
Many words used in Hindu religion or Dharm create confusion because different people following different Gurus would interpret it differently. The confusion is further compounded by usage of Sanskrit Shlokas, which they would invariably give in support of their interpretation.
Remember, every religion or faith promotes the welfare of followers; as such the first simple thing, for any definition to be correct, is that the reference point has to be Hindu Society.

Here we will try to have some simple definitions of commonly used words in Hindu religion:

Sanatan Dharm:

Sanatan Dharm is the term used for people following the Hindu religion or faith. The meaning of this had been explained by different persons in so many different ways that one would always get confused. As such to avoid any ambiguity, below mentioned definition is best:

The non bookish meaning of Sanatan Dharm is growth of entire Hindu Society on equal opportunity basis. Sanatan Dharm also interacts with nature and environment, and promotes the growth of entire humanity in harmony with nature, and other living beings.

Unlike other religions prevailing in the world, Sanatan Dharm is NOT rule based . While God of all the other religion had made and delivered the rules to be followed by the society following that faith, VEDAS, the principle religious texts of Hindus are only KNOWLEDGE to live in a society and also how to interact with the world. They are NOT rules.

Sanatan Dharm ensures the following:

1. To safeguard the interest of the society following the Dharm, and to provide equal opportunity to all section of the society for growth and development.

2. To ensure that Mutual love and companionship remains within the society, and to develop resources and expertise to sort out any or all issues threatening the society.

3. To ensure reasonable and CURRENTLY REQUIRED proportion of emotions/physical action in all religious speeches as per the capacity of Society.
Note: During the last 5000 years at least, the Hindu society is being exploited by their own religious preachers and experts.
For instance, during the recent 1000 year slavery, the proportion of physical performing part of the religion was significantly reduced so that the society can keep the head down and could be saved from certain religious conversion.

In the same way the current society is YOUNG can absorb informatiuon and does NOT need extremely high dose of emotions by way of bhakti and MIRACLES. It needs a FAIR PROPORTION OF KARMA which is being DENIED to keep the society SLAVISH for exploitation by DHARMGURUS.

THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.

Dharmic person:
A Dharmic person is one who works sincerely, honestly for his/her growth, along with the growth of his/her family, his larger family, and also the society/mohalla where he/she may be living. This honest and sincere effort would/could also improve his position in society including wealth.
Note: here sincerely, honestly also means that the person will oppose all negative attitude including corruption, atrocities on females and weaker section and negative impact on nature and environment. It is important for everyone to accept and understand that the above is a complete and NO NONSENSE definition of Dharmic person .
A Dharmic person is SATYAM in the phase Satyam Shivam Sundaram.
Spiritual person:
Same as that of Dharmic person, except that here, there is a feeling of RENOUNCEMENT and hence a Spiritual person would believe in giving more and accepting less. Hence the spiritual person will work more for the upliftment of persons/nature coming in contact then to improve his position in society including wealth.
The Spiritual person is as such SHIVAM in the phrase Satyam Shivam Sundaram.
Saint or Saadhu:
Here the renouncement is COMPLETE. The person has renounced worldly pleasure and materialistic affects, and is totally devoted to working for progress of society and environment. The entire effort of Saadhu is to make this world a beautiful place to live in, and for this the Saadhu has already declared and dedicated His life.
He is Sundaram in the phrase Satyam Shivam Sundaram.
Note: if a person lives a life in AC, uses luxurious transport, has best security protection, wears saffron clothes, he is NOT a Saadhu. By no stretch of any standards of our ancient texts he has renounced anything. And the result is there for all to see. As said earlier, to decide what is correct, Hindu society has to be the reference point; and Hindu society is continuously moving in GREATER negative zone.
Guru:
What exactly is a Guru can be understood by going through the ancient texts where guru usually asked for onetime payment or Guru Dakshina after completion of entire education. Usually onetime payment or Guru Dakshina was preceded by physical verification of education or TEST, we could say in current context. As such a Guru is one who preaches or educates persons about Dharm on the basis of physical verifiable parameters.
Unfortunately after Azaadi (independence) ALL the physical parameters pertaining to Hindu society are NEGATIVE. Conclusions as to how many of the Gurus are preaching wrong Dharm or are a fraud has to be drawn by the readers.

ABOUT MY BLOG: One has to accept that Hindus, though, highly religious, are not getting desired result as a society. Female feticide, lack of education for girls, dowry deaths, suicides among farmers, increase in court cases among relatives, corruption, mistrust and discontent, are all physical parameters to measure the effectiveness or success/failure of RELIGION, in a society. And all this, despite the fact, that spending on religion, by Hindus, has increased drastically after the advent of multiple TV channels. There is serious problem of attitude of every individual which need to be corrected. Revival of Hindu religion, perhaps, is the only way forward.

I am writing how problems, faced by Indian people can be sorted out by revival of Hindu Religion.
