AVATAR VS KALYUG GURUS

Avatars are human reincarnation of God. Hindu Dharm accepts that Lord Vishnu comes on this earth as Avatar as and when ADHARM increases to unmanageable proportion. This post will try to answer some basic questions pertaining to the Hindu Society.
What exactly should we understand from Hindu philosophy of religion, where Avatar became necessary for survival of civilization?

The first thing that immediately comes to every one’s mind is that Hindus are more close to evolution. That is, they believe that God sitting in Heaven will NOT solve the problems, but humans have to make efforts to do this. And that is where the Avatar comes in. Obviously Avatar will NOT have any SUPERNATURAL or MIRACULOUS powers, otherwise what lessens HE would provide to the world.

HE will be a normal human, behave and act within the parameters available to every other human being. An example should perhaps make this clearer. Let us take Bali’s Vadh as an example. Here without getting emotional, the fact remains that Shri Ram committed an Adharm by decisively interfering in a man to man combat from outside, by killing Bali, hiding behind a bush. Such things are unthinkable even today. Yet we know and firmly believe with full faith and conviction that Shri Ram was there as a human incarnation of God to uphold Dharm. Here is the catch and proof that how helpless at times a human being is. And that is why we can ONLY understand the Dharm propagated by Ram if we accept that NO SUPERNATURAL or MIRACULOUS powers were available.

Let us understand the THOUGHT PROCESS AND HELPLESSNESS that was the reason for this Adharm. This entire issue is discussed at length in earlier post: RAM SUGRIVE FRIENDSHIP PACT.. AN ANALYSIS .
“Please remember Ram had a better option of calling Ayodhya forces, yet because he wanted that Vaanars should get equal place in the society, he wanted Vaanar Sena. Ram knew if he won the battle against Ravan with the help of Vaanar Sena, it would be far easier for him to bring Vaanars into the mainstream. Ram was certainly NOT gaining anything personally by killing Bali in such a fashion.
And that is the reason why Ram is called Maryadapurushottam. A person who follows Maryadas of his time is called Maryada Purush. But a Maryada Purush, who goes beyond that, and breaks the existing Maryada SOLELY for the sake of Humanity and nation building, is called MARYADAPURUSHOTTAM.”
And that is the reason why Avatars are so important in teaching Dharm. Because at any given period of time, a human who wants to bring REFORMS, HAS LIMITED OPTIONS. And because of this, sometimes even the best of efforts fail. AVATARS EXPLAIN ALL THESE THINGS BY EXAMPLES. And what our Gurus have done since independence? They have increased the emotional content of religion and are sticking to SUPERNATURAL or MIRACULOUS powers of characters in Ramayan and Mahabharat, making them INEFFECTIVE.
Remember:

There was no need of Avatar if the realization was NOT there THAT GURUS CAN MISLEAD. After all the human incarnation form of Lord Vishnu or Mata Lakshmi, or any other Devas, will bring forth the practical examples of how Vedic religion or Dharm has to be followed. But unfortunately that is NOT happening; and that is why Hindu society is so PASSIVE. We the educated Hindus have a responsibility to correct ALL this on the basis of physically measureable parameters. Yes we are PASSIVE but now we have to do this....LET US START NOW!

ABOUT MY BLOG: One has to accept that Hindus, though, highly religious, are not getting desired result as a society. Female feticide, lack of education for girls, dowry deaths, suicides among farmers, increase in court cases among relatives, corruption, mistrust and discontent, are all physical parameters to measure the effectiveness or success/failure of RELIGION, in a society. And all this, despite the fact, that spending on religion, by Hindus, has increased drastically after the advent of multiple TV channels. There is serious problem of attitude of every individual which need to be corrected. Revival of Hindu religion, perhaps, is the only way forward.

I am writing how problems, faced by Indian people can be sorted out by revival of Hindu Religion.
